First up, one of the BIG ones, The Virgin London Marathon. It’s been a few years since I have managed to enter London, with this year being the fourth in a row that I have been bounced out on the ballot, but I am delighted to have secured a place with the Children with Cancer UK team. They are one of the two main charities I plan to support in 2013 (the other being Maggie’s Glasgow) and I am extremely chuffed to know I have a place in one of the biggest events of the running calendar. It will be the next event I do over Marathon distance, so I am looking forward to taking on the PB set in Berlin last month and smashing it out the water.
Another city I have run in before is Chester, where I took on the marathon in 2011. While not running the full distance event this year, I have just signed up for the Half Marathon next May. I very much enjoyed running in Chester last year, with it being a superbly organised event, and it will (I think) be the next event I take on at the 13.1 mile distance, so again looking to beat the PB I set in Glasgow in early September.
Good Times 😀
