On a wet wet night in Glasgow, I took to a hilly route in and around Rouken Glen Park and finished in a respectable time of 66.08 I’m not going to lie, it was tough and the combination of the hills plus being soaked through was not the easiest to run in, but I feel that by finishing in the same circa66 minute time as I do on a good day means that I am still improving. No medal for this one, but a couple of quality tshirts like the one in my finisher photo were a nice wee bonus.
Along with the Eight 10k in 31 days series, this was race number nine in 35 days, a tough series of events and very rewarding. I’ve got a wee break until my next event so plenty of time for some serious training.
Away from that, the auctions which ended this week have cleared £200, adding some more ££ into the pot. More auctions due at the weekend, so looking good for an awesome donation coming soon.
Thanks to Robert Guthrie, Mark Barrow and Emma Barclay for their sponsorship in the last week or so, YOU too can help out by texting TBYT50 £3 to 70070 🙂
